Recent Projects - Quick Basement Makeover

This portion of a clients basement was not being used to it's full potential. So we made it a little more cozy by adding some insulation, vapor barrier, drywall, paint, trim, and carpet. We also got rid of the fluorescent lights and went with recessed lighting on dimmers for ambience. This client used her new room as an entertainment center.

Our challenge to this project was getting all building materials into the basement without having to navigate through the halls or stairs. We did this through a 5' w x 2' h window in the basement. To ensure no dust would enter the house during construction we sealed the entrance with plastic, and used our shop vacuum daily.
